Zozios et autres piafs marseillais

Place: Marseille Natural History Museum – (MHNM)
Description: This exhibition highlights the diversity of birds that can be seen in the city, through a selection of photographs taken by participants in a photo challenge on urban avifauna. The exhibition showcases the richness of local ornithology and invites the public to discover or rediscover the wild species found in Marseille.

Aliçe et les drôles d’oiseaux

Dates : From 17 December 2025 to 8 March 2026
Location: Natural History Museum
Description: This exhibition takes visitors on a poetic journey where the works of Bernard Briançon, inspired by the world of Lewis Carroll, combine dream nature, reality and the absurd in a gallery of emblematic and fantastic animals.

Les Detaille, photographes de Marseille (1860-2024)

Dates : From 31 October 2025 to 31 October 2026
Place: Marseille History Museum
Description: The “Detaille: photographers of Marseilles (1860-2024)” exhibition at the Musée d’Histoire de Marseille highlights over a century of photography through the work of three generations of the Detaille family, major figures in Marseilles photography. Thanks to a studio collection recently acquired by the city, the exhibition reveals the historical and cultural wealth of Marseille, offering a unique insight into the development of the area and its inhabitants.

Marsiho e la Mar

Dates : From 7 October 2025 to 8 March 2026
Place: Château de la Buzine
Description: From 7 October 2025, the Château de la Buzine presents Marsiho e la Mar, an exhibition on the link between Marseille and the sea, from the XVIIIᵉ to the XXᵉ century. More than 200 works and objects from local heritage collections offer a fresh look at this maritime imagination, in an immersive scenography combining art and ethnography.

Petanque!

Dates: from 3 July 2025 to 18 January 2026
Place: Marseille History Museum
Description: Pétanque, a symbol of conviviality and a pillar of Marseilles’ identity, is on show at the Musée d’Histoire de Marseille through a historical, sociological and visual approach, celebrating this popular sport that is rooted in local urban life and now has an international reputation.

« Infiniment bleu. Arts décoratifs, peinture et mode »

Don Quichotte – Histoire de fou, histoire d’en rire

Dates: From 13 October 2025 to 30 March 2026
Place: Mucem
Description: After Genet, Giono and Flaubert, the Mucem is devoting its literary exhibition to Don Quixote, the hero invented by Cervantes in 1605 and now a universal myth. More than 200 works – prints, publishing masterpieces, paintings, film, song, comic strips and popular objects – retrace the comic and abundant fortunes of the sad-faced knight and his faithful Sancho. From Goya to Dalí, Picasso to Garouste, and right up to the present day, the exhibition highlights the inexhaustible reinvention of this legendary duo.
